* The video performance will depend on the card used. The video card that comes on most machines should be ok, so a high-end GPU is not required. On processing nodes it will not matter, as video is not used.
** If you have a GPU installed and wish to use VNC, please connect to display :0, use a xvFB server, or use Virtual GL. NXServer-free does not not support GPU/GLx. Windows will not support OpenGL/GLx over RDP so use direct attached monitor for 3D. For best results on 3D in Linux, please use the monitor attached or "ssh -X" and make sure both machines have GPUs.
NOTE: 3D viewing on remote displays will not work if there is a GPU installed in the machine. You can work around the issue with NXClient if you "ssh -X" into a machine without a GPU, using the paid version of NXServer, or using VNC. If you use Xming on Windows to redirect the Linux display, you must run with a window manager (fvwm), it will not work in "single window" mode.
*** The FWI 3D module supports the AMD Radeon 7970 (OpenCL) & NVIDIA K10/M2090 (OpenCL) for GPU processing. GPU requires an additional license, so please contact sales for pricing. You may contact support for a list of supported cards.
**** Debian and Ubuntu installations may require additional libraries. Please contact us for additional documentation.
NOTE: All minimum RAM requirements are for average datasets. Larger datasets will require more RAM to operate.
